Offers for travel companies
Saxony, especially the regions of Chemnitz, the Ore Mountains, and Vogtland - has been one of Germany’s most important industrial centers for centuries. Many technical and industrial developments of global significance originated here and continue to do so today.
The Chemnitz Museum of Industry, located in a listed factory hall with its striking arched façade built in the early 20th century for a foundry, vividly illustrates how Saxon industry developed over three centuries.
Selected exhibits, presented on a “silver line”, provide an overview of key sectors of Saxony’s economy, bear witness to Saxon inventiveness and entrepreneurial spirit, and reflect the tastes of their time.
A special focus of the museum is the functional restoration of machines and their demonstration by knowledgeable staff. Several times a day, visitors can experience material processing in a transmission workshop or see demonstrations of historic textile technology. A highlight is the live presentation of our 1896 steam engine, operated with fresh steam in the restored machine hall.
We look forward to welcoming your guests to the Chemnitz Museum of Industry and kindly invite you to register your travel group in advance.
