Traces of Success.
Jewish Entrepreneurs in Chemnitz.
Cabinet exhibition as part of Tacheles - Year of Jewish Culture in Saxony 2026
The exhibition highlights the work of Jewish entrepreneurs whose innovative spirit and social commitment had a decisive influence on the industrial development of the city – and whose contribution to economic success was violently and abruptly ended by expropriation and persecution under National Socialism.
Using well-known companies such as Gebrüder Becker, Sander & Graff and Siegfried Peretz, which were particularly active in the textile industry, the Chemnitz Industrial Museum is reviving this important facet of Chemnitz's industrial history in Saxony's theme year of Jewish culture, "Tacheles".
