Textile Workshop with Nevena Ekimova
Discarded garments are reinterpreted using a variety of textile techniques.
Individual textile sculptures are created in the process. The artist Nevena Ekimova from Gabrovo, Bulgaria, is known for her visually and tactile installation and sculpture works, as well as participatory projects in public spaces. Her often political works made from recycled materials are inspired by the textile tradition of her hometown.
Participants may bring discarded clothing or fabrics with favorite patterns and/or personal stories, though materials will also be provided. No sewing skills are required.
In English, translation into German is possible.
Participation Fee: €25
