We warmly invite you to our networking meeting at the Chemnitz Museum of Industry.

Together, we want to explore how generational change in industrial heritage can be actively shaped and what opportunities and challenges this brings for the future.

Lectures in focus:
> Prof. Dr. Lutz Strobach (HTW Berlin) talks about the restoration of technical objects.
> Jürgen Kabus, Director of the Chemnitz Museum of Industry, shares his experiences with movable collections and volunteers.
> Sebastian Meyer, apprentice at the Basel Paper Mill, provides insights into training as a papermaker.
> Dr. Thomas Fischer from the Industrial Heritage Network Saxony-Anhalt speaks about authentic sites and volunteer work in industrial heritage.

Special program highlight:
Following the lectures, we will present the conference proceedings “Industriekultur Quo Vadis? – Current Status and Perspectives of Industrial Heritage and Industrial Monument Preservation in Germany” – a valuable resource for all professionals and enthusiasts.

Get Together:
Starting at 5:30 pm, we offer the opportunity for relaxed networking, where topics such as generational change and the challenges of preserving industrial heritage can also be discussed.
