Visit to the Museum of the Air Battle over the Ore Mountains on September 11, 1944

In addition to documenting the so-called “Black Friday over the Ore Mountains,” the museum also focuses on the air war between 1939 and 1945 over the Czech Republic and Germany.

Planned Schedule:

  • 8:00 a.m. – Departure by bus from the Chemnitz Museum of Industry parking lot
  • 10:00 a.m. – Guided tour of the museum in Kovářská
  • 1:00 p.m. – Lunch at Bärenstein (participants will receive the menu in advance by email)
  • 3:00 p.m. – Guided tour in and around the Frohnauer Hammer: Germany’s oldest smithing museum, including the historic hammer works, the manor house of the master smith family, and the folk art gallery
  • Approx. 5:30–6:00 p.m. – Return to the Chemnitz Museum of Industry parking lot

Please Note: Due to the border crossing, a valid ID card or passport must be carried.

Participation Fee:

  • €28 for members of the support association
  • €33 for non-members
  • Lunch is to be paid by the participants themselves.

The transfer serves as a binding registration. Registrations are processed in the order of payment receipt.
