Hear the Unheard

Musical Interventions in the Permanent Exhibition

In this concert performance, students from the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts engage in a creative dialogue with machines and sounds, making the ‘unheard’ aspects of industrial culture audible.

What hidden sound stories lie within the Chemnitz Museum of Industry? What untold stories can we reveal through music? From human-machine duets and spinning mill poetry to a robotics chorale, the six musicians weave their perspectives into various sound installations in the permanent exhibition, incorporating live electronics, video works, contemporary repertoire, language and improvisation. Follow the digital map to explore this unique musical exhibition and discover the answers for yourself during your visit to the museum.
