Come Together

“Come Together” is the title when more than 80 students from selected Chemnitz schools present the results of intensive workshop weeks together with the Robert Schumann Philharmonic and the award-winning percussion duo Double Drums. Under the guidance of the musicians, educators from the Municipal Music School and the Chemnitz Museum of Industry, as well as their teachers, the students were invited in the preceding weeks to explore creativity—building imaginative instruments or making their first attempts at music-making. In the process, they discovered the power of music and developed their own, perhaps yet undiscovered, abilities.

In the grand final concert, children, teenagers, and adults, amateurs and professionals alike come together to celebrate their joy in music and communal performance. Come Together—music connects people who might never have met otherwise.
