Bike tour
Tracing the path of transformation
Together with tour guide Ramona Wagner, we will set out by (own) bicycle to trace the industrial culture and transformation in Chemnitz. We start at the Chemnitz Museum of Industry, which itself is a successful example of transformation: production took place here from the 19th century, and demolition was narrowly avoided in 1990. Today, visitors can experience around 220 years of Saxon industrial history in the former foundry hall. The exhibition "Tales of Transformation" tells this and many other transformation stories, and we will visit some of these sites on the bike tour.
